2023 Annual General Meeting – Feb. 28, 2024

The GWCA is pleased to host our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

Please join us* as we conduct the Association’s official business and share highlights of our 2023 activities. We also invite you to share what’s important to you, helping to shape our focus for 2024.

A wine and cheese mingle will follow, where you’ll have a chance to get to know your neighbours and chat with Mayor Ann Lawlor and Ward 2 Councillors. The yummy snacks will be catered by Glen Chef Eddie DeBernardinis, Coast Catering. Thank you Coast Catering!

TIME: 7:00pm –7:50pm official business, wine & cheese mingle to follow until 8:30pm
LOCATION: Glen Williams Town Hall or Zoom. Members interested in receiving a Zoom link please email the GWCA.

  • A copy of the new GWCA Member Principles and proposed changes to the By-laws will be provided in the AGM package to each member attending the meeting.
  • Limited copies of the 2022 AGM meeting minutes and Financial Statements will be available for review at the meeting.

Fall Open House – Oct. 25, 2023

The Fall Open House provided residents with the opportunity to learn about important projects and initiatives impacting the Glen. Residents visited stations and chatted with community representatives about issues concerning traffic, resident safety, new home developments in the Glen, climate change and parks and trails including the Shelagh Law Parkette transformation project. Ward 2 Councillors Jason Brass, Joseph Racinsky and Regional Councillor Clark Somerville also attended.

The following groups had stations at this open house:

  • Staff from the Town of Halton Hills, Transportation and Public Works,
  • Halton Police from the Traffic and Crimes Unit
  • Bird Friendly Halton
  • Credit Valley Trails
  • Halton Climate Action Group

Spring Open Meeting – April 30, 2023

At this meeting the GWCA:

  • updated residents about activities and initiatives carried over from 2022.
  • presented a draft 2023 Annual Plan based on member input
  • sought resident feedback with a goal to finalize the plan

We provided an overview of key municipal and regional initiatives impacting the Glen and gathered feedback about resident priorities.

Residents also heard from our newly elected officials. Mayor Ann Lawlor, Ward 2 Councillors Joseph Racinsky and Jason Brass, and Regional Councillor Clark Somerville each facilitated an interactive session.

In addition, we held a Silent Auction with proceeds going toward the Shelagh Law Parkette Park Transformation Project.

Community Open House – May 22, 2022:

The community learned about the work of the various committees since the November AGM as well as their plans for the coming months. The committees presenting were:

  • Community Engagement
  • Parks & Trails
  • Traffic
  • Development
  • Communications
  • Beautification
