SHELAGH LAW PARKETTE

The GWCA is now the official steward of the Shelagh Law Parkette, an idyllic natural area on the banks of the Credit River in the Glen.

We have completed Phase 1 of a multi-year project to create bird friendly and pollinator habitat for butterflies, bees and beneficial bugs. In May 2023 a large group of volunteers gathered to clean up existing gardens and create new garden beds for future planting. In October 2023 volunteers again gathered to plant over one hundred native trees, shrubs, and perennials.

We are actively fundraising to buy native plants, shrubs, and trees, with the goal of contributing to a more eco-friendly community. If you would like to help with this project, click on the donate button below.
