It was standing room only at a special meeting at Halton Hills Town Hall on Tuesday (Jan. 24) night as council debated whether to accept a staff recommendation to allow a controversial development in Glen Williams — now in front of the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) — to proceed.

While residents were ultimately — and audibly — disappointed by the 9-1 vote in favour of allowing the development, councillors heard residents’ complaints about a perceived lack of procedural transparency loud and clear.
