Last Saturday (January 21st) a group of our favourite local musicians -Main Street, James Woodstock, and Bob Gee & Ian Jarvie – volunteered their time to entertain us and raise money for a great cause. Busy Glen Bakers prepared homemade delights to go along with warm cider, tea and coffee. It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday night at the Glen.

We’re happy to report that the coffee-house concert at Saint Alban’s raised over $3000 to help Community Living North Halton buy a wheelchair accessible van. The van, which will cost $70,000, is urgently needed so they can transport their clients to medical appointments, outings and activities, and to stay connected with their community.

A huge thanks to everyone who helped make the Community Living North Halton benefit concert such a big success!

There’s still a long way to go before they have enough money for the van, so if you would like to donate online, you can do so at CanadaHelps.org.
